Press release insolvency

Thank you for your interest, loyalty and trust in Groundies. Much to our regret we sadly have to inform you that despite all the efforts of within the last month, we had to file for insolvency.

Our economic difficulties are the result of the COVID pandemic and the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine. As a consequence of both events, customers are much more reluctant to purchase barfoot shoes.

Not only we are affected, but also many other retailers. However, we understand the preliminary insolvency proceeding as a real opportunity to put Groundies back on stable ground. We want to continue our restructuring process, so that we can do what we do best: provide you with great barefoot shoes!

The entire team is working hand in hand to seize this opportunity. Business operations continue normally! Our local stores are open and our webshop is accessible again. We will be able to ship all new orders and refund returns to these new orders
