I finally understand why there are such different reviews for these shoes. While I'm reviewing on the dark plum model variant, I was also able to purchase these shoes in the nude color variant. Same size for both. And I was expecting the fit to be exactly the same for both of them, but to my surprise, it isn't. The nude shoes have a noticeable tighter elastic band, to the point that I actually wondered if I had ordered a different size by mistake. But no, same 37 model size. So I would say that in general the dark plum shoes are a bit more comfortable than the nude ones, right from the start, and the nude shoes will cause issue at the beginning, especially for people with a high instep. I'm docking points in my evaluation exactly due to this difference in fit, it's inconceivable that the same model does not have the same fit for both colors. Other than that, the shoes seem fine (I haven't tested them outside yet), but time will tell if the insole will be up to the test, since I usually tend to prefer leather instead of microfiber.

Seit Groundies die Lily Soft aus dem Programm genommen hat, finde ich es schwer, Ballerina im Sortiment zu finden, die genauso schön und bequem sind. Bei diesen hier komme ich leider mit dem umlaufenden Gummiband nicht zurecht. Zum einen sieht der Stil ein bisschen nach Gymnastikschläppchen aus und zum anderen drückt das Gummi hinten und ich habe das Gefühl der Fuß wird nach vorne geschoben. Die Größe fällt ansonsten passend aus und das Leder ist schön weich. Die Schleife ist Geschmackssache.

Hallo und danke, dass du dir die Zeit genommen hast, so ausführlich zu schreiben. Schade, dass dir die aktuellen Ballerinas mit dem Gummiband nicht passen – das sollte natürlich nicht so sein. Wir wissen, dass solche Details bei manchen Füßen für guten Halt sorgen, bei anderen aber eher drücken können. Dein Hinweis ist deshalb sehr wertvoll für uns. Wir verstehen auch gut, dass du die Lily Soft vermisst. Manche Modelle begleiten uns lange, andere machen Platz für neue Ideen. Wir nehmen deine Rückmeldung aber gerne mit in unsere Überlegungen – manchmal entstehen daraus auch Neuauflagen oder Weiterentwicklungen. Danke auch für dein Feedback zu Leder und Passform. Ich trage diese Schuhe total gern zu besonderen Anlässen. Eigentlich dachte ich immer, Ballerinas sind nichts für mich, aber ich wollte Groundies mal eine Chance geben. Die meisten anderen Modelle sind mir zu steif. Beim RUBY war die Ferse anfangs leider auch etwas fest, aber ich hab das Leder und die Verstärkung einfach ein bisschen weich geknetet – danach saß er super. Mit dünnen Söckchen trägt er sich jetzt richtig angenehm. Bin echt froh, dass ich ihn behalten hab.

Die Schuhe sind wunderschön und angenehm leicht am Fuß. Das weiche Leder fühlt sich super an, nichts drückt, und sie sind einfach rundum bequem. Außerdem ist die Farbe echt schön und lässt sich vielseitig kombinieren. Sehr gelungenes Modell!

Ich kann mich der vorherigen Bewertung ehrlich gesagt gar nicht anschließen. Ich trage normalerweise Größe 39 und die hat hier auch perfekt gepasst, sie ist weder zu eng noch zu locker. Der Schuh sitzt gut, drückt nicht und das Leder fühlt sich angenehm weich an. Anfangs war ich mir unsicher wegen der Schleife, aber mittlerweile finde ich, dass sie dem Schuh einen hübschen, unaufdringlichen Akzent gibt. Insgesamt eine sehr bequeme Ballerina, die gut verarbeitet ist und auch optisch was hermacht. Die Farbe ist der Hammer! Ich liebe sie!

I'm the same reviewer that bought both models (review right bellow probably), and funnily enough I forgot to actually rate the shoes, and this website does not let me edit my last review, which I find incredible. It's the same rating for both models though, since I'm reviewing them as a pair of variants of the same model. Again, nude shoes have tighter elastic than the plum shoes, which are more comfortable since they are looser in the elastic.

Since I discovered groundies, I have not bought a shoe from another brand. I like your products, as they are barfoot, comfortable and at the same time stylish and don't look "as only designed for comfort". Having said that, I bought two ballerina products from you recently, Lilly 3.0 and Ruby 2.0, and both rub at the back of the heel and at the rubber band, to the point, where I struggle to wear them at all. Reading the reviews, which have come in since my purchase, this seems a common issue. My wish: keep "best sellers" available, particularly for ballerinas. Instead of a new model every few months, having a "basic" line that people can rely upon to fit, would add so much more value for me. I don't want to have to walk-in my ballerinas for days with socks or plasters, I just want a shoe that fits - and I am happy to trade this against the, in my view very minor, "design improvements" you may make when launching a new model.

We’re sorry to hear that both the Lily 3.0 and Ruby 2.0 caused pressure at the heel and the rubber band – we know how frustrating it is when shoes feel uncomfortable, especially when you’ve trusted a model to be an easy fit. You’re absolutely right that ballerinas can be tricky: they sit very close to the foot and leave little room for socks, which makes them feel different than sneakers or boots. Some customers find they soften and adjust after a few wears, but we completely understand your wish for a shoe that feels good straight out of the box. We also hear you on the “basic line” idea. While some models make way for new developments, we know how important it is to have reliable favourites that you can come back to. Leider drückt der Schuh an den Zehen und scheint vorne zu eng. Dabei soll er größengerecht ausfallen? Muss ihn leider zurückschicken. Schade.

Hallo und danke für dein ehrliches Feedback. Es tut uns leid zu hören, dass der Schuh vorne zu eng war, das sollte natürlich nicht so sein, gerade bei einem Barfußmodell. Wir arbeiten derzeit intern daran, unsere Größenempfehlung noch klarer zu gestalten, da uns vereinzelt Rückmeldungen erreichen, dass die Hinweise nicht immer eindeutig sind. Grundsätzlich empfehlen wir, das eigene Fußmaß (in Zentimetern) mit der Größentabelle am jeweiligen Produkt zu vergleichen. Bei Ballerinas genügt in der Regel eine kleine Zugabe von etwa 0,5 cm zur reinen Fußlänge. Das kann dabei helfen, die passende Größe besser einzuschätzen. Ballerines superbes, pas trop larges & très casual. Mais : 1. Je suis surprise & déçue par l’absence d’une semelle de propreté amovible 2. je dois signaler moi aussi cette douleur terrible à l’arrière du talon sûrement dûe à l’élastique. J’ai la chance d’avoir le vieux matériel de feu mon grand-père cordonnier. Mais rencontrer ce genre de déconvenues avec des chaussures barefoot, je trouve que ça la fout mal…
