Terms and conditions of participation in the Groundies Travel Prize contest

The English version is for information only. The German version shall prevail. The prize contest will run from 15 September 2025 to 12 October 2025. The closing date for entries is 12 October 2025 at 11:59 p.m. CET.

1. Subject of the terms and conditions of participation and organise
(1) The organiser of the prize contest is Groundies GmbH, Heinrich-von-Stephan-Straße 17, 79100 Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. These rules apply to participation in the prize contest. By participating, you accept these rules.
(2) The prize comprises an individually planned trip for the winner and one accompanying person with a total value of up to €2,000. The trip will be organised and booked by the organiser in consultation with the winner. The trip will be selected in line with the prize contest ’s motto, Stay Grounded, meaning that the destination and type of trip will be determined together with the winner. Cash payment of the prize or the issuance of a travel voucher is excluded. The prize does not include any additional costs exceeding the stated total value, such as travel to and from the airport, meals, excursions or personal expenses. These are to be borne by the winner. The participant is responsible for getting to the airport/train station and carrying all necessary identification documents, visas, etc. The organiser is not liable for cancellations or postponements of flights/trains for reasons beyond its control.

2. Conditions of participation
(1) Only natural persons over the age of 18 who are resident in the EU or Switzerland are eligible to participate. Employees of Groundies GmbH and affiliated companies as well as their relatives are excluded from participation.
(2) Participation is only permitted if the participant's correct name is provided. Multiple entries by one person are not permitted. The same applies to registrations by third parties or via prize contest clubs and similar organisations. In particular, it is not permitted to use technical means to automatically generate registrations for the competition. Registered persons who violate this rule or whose registration violates this rule will be excluded from participation. The same applies to participants who attempt to manipulate the course of the prize contest.
(3) Eligible persons have three options for participating in the prize contest: via the Groundies Instagram account (@groundies_barefootwear), by registering for the newsletter between 15 September and 12 October 2025 or by placing an order on the website https://groundies.com using the eligible discount code ‘staygrounded’ during the ordering process.

3. Determination of winners and notification of winnings
(1) The prize will be raffled off. The winner will be notified by email and/or telephone and/or Instagram within forty-five days of the winner being determined. If the notified winner does not respond within 14 days, the prize will be forfeited, or the organiser will raffle the prize again.
(2) There will be only one winner of the prize contest. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or paid out in cash.

4. Exclusion
(1) Any violation of these conditions of participation entitles us to exclude the participant in question from participating in the prize contest and the prize draw. This applies in particular if the participant provides false information.
(2) If the excluded participant is a winner who has already been drawn, the prize may be subsequently revoked

5. Premature termination and change
The organiser does not guarantee that the prize contest will be available at all times without interruptions, punctually and without errors. In particular, the organiser is not liable for technical faults for which the organiser is not responsible. This also includes intentional actions by third parties that may impair or prevent the prize contest from running smoothly. We reserve the right to terminate the prize contest in whole or in part at any time, even without observing deadlines, or to change the course of the prize contest if the proper execution of the prize contest cannot be guaranteed for such technical reasons.

6. Data protection notice
The participant data collected as part of this prize contest will be used exclusively for the purposes of the prize contest. It will be deleted after the prize contest has ended. The use of the email address for newsletters remains unaffected, provided the participant has given their consent. 7. Final provisions
(1) Any resource to courts of law is excluded
(2) German law applies.
(3) Should any clause of these conditions of participation be invalid, the validity of the remaining conditions of participation shall remain unaffected
