    Long Island is a sleek trainer with signature side stripe and a sporty casual touch. Selected materials and their sophisticated processing provide protection in the right places and a masterful, excellent balance between comfort and lightness. The typical Groundies® feeling as well as a colour highlight is provided by the sensitive TrueSense® barefoot sole.

    We offer free returns within US, Germany, Austria, France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

    To clean your Groundies, please use a cloth or a sponge moistened with cold, clear water. Especially with leather and imitation leather models, impregnation is highly recommended to protect the shoes from moisture, dirt and environmental influences.

These are not barefoot shoes! The sole is stiff and hard, and you can't feel the ground through them. I agree with Anja's review, where she noted that the only 'barefoot' thing about these shoes is the lack of heel - and I note that Groundies' answer to her review doesn't comment on the sole (instead they refer to the toebox, which she didn't mention). Groundies, you need to rethink this sole - it is not worthy of your name. It is a shame, as otherwise the shoes are very nice - stylish and comfortable.

Hello Catherine, Thank you for your honest words. Too bad you didn't like the sole of our Long Island. Many of our customers swear by our GO1 sole for optimal barefoot feel. Maybe a model with this sole is an alternative for you. Furthermore, it should still be taken into account that our Long Island is a model with a regular toe box.

Hallo Anja, danke für deine Bewertung. Wir haben Modelle mit regulärer wie auch anatomischer Zehenbox. Unser Long Island fällt in die erste Kategorie. Da dir dies nicht zusagt, kann ich dir nur unsere Modelle mit anatomischer Zehenbox ans Herz legen. Hier haben deinen Zehen noch mehr Platz um sich zu entfalten. Probiere es gerne mal aus.

Very comfy shoes. At the beginning the sole was harder than with my other barefoot shoes but that has also given itself. Great for casual activities.

Das sind meine ersten Barfußschuhe und ich muss offen gestehen: Am Anfang fühlt es sich sehr komisch an. Mit den Schuhen fühlt man alles was unter einem ist und das ist ziemlich cool. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und empfehle die Schuhe gerne weiter.
