I bought these specifically to wear to a formal event. I’m going to wear heels but I know I won’t last long in them haha so I wanted some actually comfortable shoes that still look cute. These definitely fit the description! They do not have that classic barefoot look and I like the brown color. They are however a little bit to small for me, the lengt. The widht is perfect tho so I’m hoping to stretch them out a bit. I usually wear a 38.5 - 39 and I decided on 38 since other reviews said it’s best to size down.

Had to switch insole for a bit thicker one (a bit bummed about this, because original one is REALLY pleasant for skin) – guess it's intended for feet with higher volume than mine. Other than that, they are perfect – they look cute and leather is very soft. Third time I wore them was for more than half a day, had no problem with any blisters whatsoever and they didn't run hot for me, even despite the day being hot, more than 30°C in shade. Loving the color, it matches perfectly with almost all my spring and summer wardrobe. Glad I bought them :)

My 2 other pairs of Groundies are a 41, and that's my measurement according to the size chart, but I ordered a 40 instead according to the recommendation to size down. I wish I had not
