Ich habe den Schuh als Wanderschuh seit April im Gebrauch. Bisher ist er wasserdicht. Er drückt nicht und es läuft sich angenehm in ihm. Die Sohle allerdings ist viel zu glatt. Wenn der Weg feucht ist, kommt man schnell ins Rutschen. Da würde ich mir ein griffigeres Profil wünschen. Auch für die Schnürung vermisse ich eine Metallöse vorne in der Mitte, um den Schuh im Knöchelbereich für längere Bergabstrecken gut nachspannen zu können.

I ordered one size up as recommended and it is too big. Ordered 40 and I am usually 39. Too bad that now I have to send it back wait for a refund and only then order new ones. Choose your size that is my recommendation.

I was very happy with my first pair of Ontarios. When the sole started splitting on one shoe after about a year of regular use I ordered a replacement pair. The second pair are as comfortable as the first but are far from waterproof (which is important to me in a hiking boot). My socks and feet get wet even walking through wet grass.

Ich habe den Schuh vor 1,5 Jahren schon mal gekauft. Da fand ich ihn viel weicher vom Leder. Jetzt läuft er sich nicht wie ein Barfußschuh. Was ist mit dem alten Modell passiert? Er ist auch viel enger. Ich behalte ihn trotzdem, weil ich mit erhoffe, dass das Leder noch weicher wird. Den vorherigen habe ich geliebt. Bei diesem bin ich mir nicht sicher wie das wird.

I have been wearing groundies exclusively for the last 5 winters and was excited to get myself a good pair of walking barefoot shoes… unfortunately I was disappointed to find out that those shoes are very slippery, not flexible, not waterproof and really feel like stif ‘normal’ walking shoes. Was saving for some time for those and I guess I had too much expectations… you might want to be warned for any GX outdoor soles as they look all the same… Honest opinion from a groundies lover usually!

bequemer Schuh nach einer kurzen Einlaufzeit. Großes Manko: die Sohle eine Winterschuhs sollte etwas rutschfest sein. Leider hier gar nicht der Fall, auf Schnee und Eis ist der gefährlich. Also eher ein Winterschuh für die Stadtmenschen.

This is a great-looking pair of shoes and there are a lot of things to like about them. I bought them in the hope I could wear them as winter boots. Luckily, we had a heavy snow right after they arrived, so I could test them immediately. Firstly, the sole is thicker than other barefoot shoes I have tried, which is good because they are warm, and waterproof as promised. In that sense, they are great for winter. I bought them as size up, as recommended, and they fit well but feel a little tight and constricting at the ankle. They are quite comfortable to walk in. Unfortunately, they have one major flaw, which is that the sole doesn't have enough grip on the ice and snow. I live in a small town with minimal gritting, which makes these completely non-functional for most of the winter. They would probably be great if you live in a city or somewhere with a milder climate.

Ich lieb sie - super bequem vom ersten Moment an - keine Blasen. Schön warm und vorne genug Platz für die Zehen (was genau das ist, was mich bei normalen Schuhen stört). Ich persönlich mag auch, dass hier die Sohle etwas dicker ist. Was allerdings scheint, aus einer anderen Bewertung zu stimmen ist, ist, dass die auf nassem Boden ultra rutschig sind. Ich behalte sie trotzdem.
